About

World Wide Access is a New Zealand company exporting and selling international products in America, China, Japan, the United Kingdom and Europe. The new way of exporting with World Wide Access slashes the cost and time to market compared with conventional export market entry. For manufacturers this means export revenue in hand sooner and with dramatically lower business risk.

World Wide Access was a finalist in the 2011 Air New Zealand Export Awards and was named 2011 Exporter of the Year in its category by the American Chamber of Commerce. The Exporter of the Year awards recognise success and innovation in business relationships with America.

Paul Grey

Founder Paul Grey launched World Wide Access in 2008 with the specific objective of using software technology to make it faster, easier and cheaper for New Zealand products to reach American customers. He has done just that, created an export business that delivers New Zealand companies the in-market advantage without the complexity and financial overhead of conventional export market entry.

Prior to establishing World Wide Access, Paul was Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of Peace Software, New Zealand’s largest software product development company. Peace Software’s success is often cited as an example for New Zealand technology businesses to follow. Paul’s career with Peace Software included eight years based in North America where he developed his network of contacts within the software industry and a deep understanding of the potential of advanced on-line technology.

World Wide Access is founded on Paul’s vision of using software technology to overcome the barriers of conventional export market entry, which he encountered first-hand in taking Peace Software successfully into the American market.

Ashley Schroder

Senior software engineer Ashley Schroder leads the development of the advanced e-commerce software technology that underpins World Wide Access’ automated operations. His recent innovations include Live Stock Levels, a free service for suppliers that lets them see online the quantities of their stock held in World Wide Access warehouses overseas. Each supplier’s secure web-based view of live stock levels is updated near real-time, 24 hours a day, which means that, as products sell and replenishment shipments arrive, suppliers are able to track stock levels and monitor their sales milestones in the American market day by day and hour by hour.

Ashley is prominent in the Magento e-commerce software community, he blogs at aschroder.com and speaks at conferences in America and Europe on aspects of e-commerce software development.
