World Wide Access has integrated PayPal Express Checkout with its Magento-based webstore software platform. This gives customers on its U.S. webstores a new payment option alongside Google Checkout. The objective is to make it as convenient as possible for customers to make their purchases, and to remove as many obstacles to the sales transaction as possible.
PayPal claims over 150 million accounts worldwide, and PayPal Express Checkout is PayPal’s premier checkout offering, a step above the commonly used basic PayPal payments system. PayPal Express Checkout streamlines the checkout process for buyers by using their pre-registered address and payment details, and and it eliminates having to send customers to another website to complete their purchase.
In a typical standard webstore checkout flow, in the process of checking out, the buyer must enter their delivery address, billing address and payment information before reviewing the order and confirming payment. Most websites accepting basic PayPal payments work along these lines.
World Wide Access has instead chosen to offer PayPal Express Checkout, which is significantly more convenient for the buyer. In an Express Checkout flow, a buyer does not reenter shipping, billing, or payment information, because it is already available within the buyer’s PayPal account. This simplifies and improves the checkout process.

In the PayPal Express Checkout flow, the buyer:

Chooses Express Checkout by clicking the Check out with PayPal button

Logs into PayPal, which has the buyer’s address and payment details already registered

Reviews the transaction on PayPal

Confirms the order and pays from within the originating webstore

Receives an order confirmation
